The purpose of this consultancy is to develop participatory agreed water source protection plan for Nalubaale and Kiira Hydro Power Plants with clear implementation, financing and monitoring strategies as provided for in the source protection guidelines. The plan should identify the existing and potential risks, threats, and pathways for the water sources and to engage the various stakeholders responsible for the problem in a positive way that may lead to mutually beneficial outcomes. The consultancy will therefore support the PDE in complying with the newly instituted water source protection guidelines of DWRM for the hydropower plants.
